Commanding Officers

What is the role of a Commanding Officer?

Commanding officers will maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the various units within their command by coordinating functions and activities. This includes responsibility for the planning; direction and control of command; and, the efficiency of operations in accordance with department policy and procedures.

Those who are not pictured though still commanded. If you have a picture of any type of anyone listed below, please send it to vwone@vwone.org and we will add them to this page. We would also like to add their Bio, if you have any kind words to share as well

  1. I served under two commanding officers: EM Morgan and R Wood. Although Capt. Margan had left the squadron when I asked him for a recommendation to graduate school, he wrote one for me. Played one wall handball with him on several occasions. You probably know that he passed at 102 years of age. A good officer and a fine man.
